O finala cu un destin interesant, dupa ce organizatorii din Cugir au reusit sa aduca la start 28 de sahisti veterani, dornici sa se intreaca pentru cele 3 locuri, ce aduc gloria pe 2010. Dupa o lupta permanenta pentru punctele puse in joc, pe parcursul a 7 runde de intreceri, campionul de anul acesta este dat de clubul Juventus Bucuresti si se numeste Dumitrascu Cornel 2065. Inaintea inceperii acestui turneu, castigatorul era al 6-lea favorit la titlu, dar se pare ca si de aceasta data calculele hartiei au fost infirmate .

Pe locul 2, un veteran al turneelor organizate anii trecuti la Juventus, Tacu Victor 2136, care a reusit si el un parcurs excelent, realizand acelasi numar de puncte ca si castigatorul, dar coeficientii de departajare, trebuiau sa realizeze o diferenta, foarte mica dealtfel. Pe locul 3, Cernea Radu2080, care a reusit sa prinda medalia de bronz in ultima runda.

Practic in ultima runda s-au jucat cam toate locurile de pe podium, partidele Tacu – Cernea ½ – ½ si Dumitrascu – Candea 1-0 stabilind primii 3 clasati. Foarte aproape de o medalie au fost si un grup de 5 jucatori, care au acumulat 4,5puncte, dar departajarea a decis medaliatii de pe 2010.
Felicitari pentru castigator si pentru ceilalti doi ocupanti ai locurilor 2 si 3, care aduc pentru Juventus Bucuresti, toate medaliile puse in joc la Cugir!
