1.Meciul de Campioana mondiala se va desfasura in China si urmatoarea etapa de GP masculin la Salonic
S-a anuntat meciul de campioana Mondiala 2013. Va fi un meci intre detinatoarea titlului, Anna Ushenina (Ucraina) si cjucatoarea chineza Hou Yifan. meciul va fi organizat de FIDE si federatia chineza, in perioada 10-27 septembrie 2013, in orasul Taizhou.
Urmatoarea etapa de GP masculin se va desfasura in perioada 21 mai-4 iunie la Salonic.

Wang Yue si Ding Yixin castigatori ai campionatului Chinei
Wang Yue a castigat campionatul chinei cu scorul de 7,5 puncte din 11. Jucatorul chinez in varsta de 26 de ani, primul jucator din China care a depasit 2700 elo in 2007, a fost la o distanta de 1,5 puncte fata de ocupantul locului 2. La sectiunea feminina, titlul i-a revenit jucatoarei Ding Yixin., masa 5 la olimpiada de anul trecut. de mentionat faptul ca au lipsit multe jucatoare de top precum Hou Yifan (a jucat la sectiunea Open), Zhao Xue, Ju Wenjun (participanta la Grand Prix), Ruan Lufei, Huang Qian and Guo Qi.

Maine incepe Campionatul National al Americii
Campionatul National al Americii este cel mai prestigios eveniment in Statele Unite si va avea la start 24 din cei mai valorosi jucatori. Turneul se va desfasura atat la masculin cat si la feminin. Locul aloes pentru acest eveniment a fost ales Chess Club & Scholastic Center of Saint Louis. Cu aceasta ocazie, GM Timur Gareev a tinut un simultan orb la 33 de table. Rezultatul a fost 29 victorii, 4 remize si zero infrangeri.
Topalov revine spectaculos in top 5 dupa un turneu de exceptie
Veselin Topalov a terminat turneul de la Zug in stil de mare campion. Desi era virtual castigator cu o runda inaintea ultimei runde, nu a “lasat-o mai moale”, si a castigat si runda 11. La sfarsitul acestui turneu, Topalov a urcat pe locul 4 in clasamentul live. Hikaru Nakamura a terminat al doilea, . Ruslan Ponomariov siFabiano Caruana au impartit locul trei.

Aronian a castigat Alehin Memorial la tiebreak
Levon Aronian a castigat Memorialul Alehin. El l-a invins pe Maxime Vachier-Lagrave si l-a egalat la puncte pe Boris Gelfand, ce a remizat cu Vishy Anand. Aronian a castigat datorita numarului mai mare de victorii. Anand a terminat pe locul 3. ladimir Kramnik a acstigat partida cu Adams, terminand cu 50 %.
